To update your point of sale database, there are two solutions:
1. To create or change the information of a single store, you can do it directly from the back office BRIDGE. To help you, you can refer to the following articles:
https://support.leadformance.com/hc/en-us/sections/200947038-Points-of-Sale-Database
2. For an update or a creation of several points of sale in mass, you can create a ticket to our support team: https://help.leadformance.com/hc/en-us/requests/new by joining an Excel file. Our teams will take care of importing your file in the BRIDGE platform to update your data base.
In this second case, so that our teams can import your file, it must respect some conditions.
- In the case of point of sale updates
You want to update several points of sale, already existing in the database.
We suggest you start by exporting your database to BRIDGE to make your modifications on the most recent version and obtain the BRIDGE identifiers.
See the article: https://support.leadformance.com/hc/en-us/articles/206636807-How-to-export-a-list-of-points-of-sale-
A good file ready for import must include:
- The id column (which represents the BRIDGE identifier of your point of sale, this one serves us as "entry door" to update your database)
- The columns you want to update only (so you can delete all other columns that are unnecessary to lighten the file and make it clearer)
- The custom_id column (which represents the point of sale identifier from your internal database, this serves as a common identifier for our two databases)
- The columns dedicated to the information to be updated (it is possible, for example, to update the address, telephone number, services associated with points of sale)
- In the case of a point of sale creation
You want to create new stores, not existing in the database.
A good file ready for import must include:
- The custom_id column (which represents the point of sale identifier from your internal database, this serves as a common identifier for our two databases)
- The Name column completed with the name of the point of sale
- The Address1 column completed with the address of the point of sale
- The country_code column filled in lower case (ex: France > fr)
- The city column completed with the city of the point of sale
- The active column completed with true or false (allows you to indicate the opening or closing of a point of sale : true (for open) and false (for closed/deactivated).
Here in the context of a PoS creation, always fill the column by true.
Information such as: telephone number, opening hours, address 2, postal code...etc. are optional.
- In the case of a store activation/deactivation
You want to deactivate/close or to activate/open a store, to no longer displayed in front office.
A good file ready for import must include :
- The id column (which represents the BRIDGE identifier of your point of sale, this one serves us as "entry door" to update your database)
- The active column completed with true or false (allows you to indicate the opening or closing of a point of sale : true (for opened/activated) and false (for closed/deactivated).
- The custom_id column (which represents the point of sale identifier from your internal database, this serves as a common identifier for our two databases)
Note: If you need to perform several actions, for example to update, create and deactivate points of sale, we advise you to provide us with separate Excel files (one per action). Thanks.
